Overall survivability and seakeeping ability:
Survivability (Non-critical penetrating hits needed to sink ship):
50,015 lbs / 22,686 Kg = 24.4 x 16.0 " / 406 mm shells or 5.7 torpedoes
Stability (Unstable if below 1.00): 1.16
Metacentric height 6.4 ft / 1.9 m
Roll period: 16.3 seconds
Steadiness - As gun platform (Average = 50 %): 50 %
- Recoil effect (Restricted arc if above 1.00): 0.67
Seaboat quality (Average = 1.00): 1.01
Hull form characteristics:
Hull has rise forward of midbreak
Block coefficient: 0.613
Length to Beam Ratio: 8.04 : 1
'Natural speed' for length: 28.06 kts
Power going to wave formation at top speed: 57 %
Trim (Max stability = 0, Max steadiness = 100): 50
Bow angle (Positive = bow angles forward): 2.00 degrees
Stern overhang: -2.00 ft / -0.61 m
Freeboard (% = measuring location as a percentage of overall length):
- Stem: 33.00 ft / 10.06 m

Ship space, strength and comments:
Space - Hull below water (magazines/engines, low = better): 117.2 %
- Above water (accommodation/working, high = better): 199.9 %
Waterplane Area: 57,133 Square feet or 5,308 Square metres
Displacement factor (Displacement / loading): 99 %
Structure weight / hull surface area: 187 lbs/sq ft or 914 Kg/sq metre

A Ger/CB/1915 design study with 6-16in guns
This is another design study for a German battlecruiser, this time with 6-16in/45 BLR and 12-6in QF guns. The dimensions are 787.5ft x 98ft x 31.4ft. I had to reduce the speed from the planned 36 knots to a more achievable 33 knots. What was interesting about this design study is that I had reasonable specifications and an armour plan, at least for the belt, deck, and anti-torpedo protection. There is also an indication of the armour layout. I kept the citadel length to what was shown in the drawing. This is the Springsharp report:
