The US/BB/1933 is suitable for Pacific warfare
I increased the displacement of the US/BB/1933 so as to have slightly better protection but especially to have a 12,000nm range at 15 knots. The armament is more modern, with 24-5in DP, 36-1.1in AA, as well as the 9-18in BLR, and 36-0.5in MG. What I don't understand is why this is achievable on such a relatively small displacement compared with the Yamato class. Part of the answer may be that the Japanese ship carried more protection.
