German fast battleship: Ger/BB/1917
A pencil sketch and some minimal specifications is all there is for what I am calling the Ger/BB/1917 battleship. The basic concept was for a 50,000 ton fast German battleship armed with 9-18in and 20-5in guns. In reality, 50,000 tons is not sufficient for the goals. I was able to stay close, with a 53,869 ton Standard displacement. The armour basis is 14in. I had not noticed that the rounds per gun for the main armament was defaulted to 150. When I corrected that, I was able to achieve the desired 30-knot speed. This is the Springsharp report:
