The final step in this design series: GB/CA/1940
The final step in this design series seemed to demand using 9.2in BLR. For a ship of this size, over 23,000 tons normal, 8in guns seemed to be too small. I suspect that the last design had some shortcomings, brought on by typos. This one is a super-ship, with a speed of 36 knots, a range of 8,500nm at 15 knots and a 5in armour basis.
