The US/CL/1933 design
The US/CL/1933 design has two improvements: 1.1in AA guns and 3.5 inch deck armour. To satisfy Springsharp, the belt is abnormally long. The armament is now 12-6in QF, 8-5in AA, and 36-1.1in AA guns. To improve performance, the hull now has a transom stern. The size has ballooned to 16,100 tons normal displacement. This is the Springsharp report:
