Overall survivability and seakeeping ability:
Survivability (Non-critical penetrating hits needed to sink ship):
51,519 lbs / 23,369 Kg = 51.5 x 12.6 " / 320 mm shells or 9.3 torpedoes
Stability (Unstable if below 1.00): 1.09
Metacentric height 6.0 ft / 1.8 m
Roll period: 17.4 seconds
Steadiness - As gun platform (Average = 50 %): 56 %
- Recoil effect (Restricted arc if above 1.00): 0.51
Seaboat quality (Average = 1.00): 1.12
Hull form characteristics:
Hull has rise forward of midbreak
Block coefficient: 0.573
Length to Beam Ratio: 6.57 : 1
'Natural speed' for length: 25.88 kts
Power going to wave formation at top speed: 54 %
Trim (Max stability = 0, Max steadiness = 100): 50
Bow angle (Positive = bow angles forward): 5.00 degrees
Stern overhang: -2.00 ft / -0.61 m
Freeboard (% = measuring location as a percentage of overall length):
- Stem: 28.00 ft / 8.53 m

The It/BB/1927 design: obviously inspired by the Cavour
As you can tell, the It/BB/1927 design is inspired by the Cavour. My design relies upon very lightweight machinery to be viable. I use the same 10-12.6in guns. The secondary armament consists of 12-4.7in DP and 24-37mm AA guns. The armour basis is 12in with a 4in deck. This is the Springsharp report:
