A 37 knot British light cruiser
I thought that the next step would be to create a British light cruiser that was like the Japanese Mogami class ships. Obviously, such a ship must be larger than 10,000 tons standard. The amazing thing is the displacement is not that extreme, due to the use of very lightweight machinery. This is the Springsharp report for the GB/CL/1932:
