A 36 knot heavy cruiser
This is the heavy cruiser counterpart to the 37 knot light cruiser. The heavy cruiser has 4in side armour and 10-8in/50 guns. The speed had to be reduced to 36 knots, which is still comparable to the big Japanese cruisers. This is the Springsharp report:
