The Ger/BB/1907 design from September 8, 2001

The drawings from September 8, 2001 are less inspired than those from September 9th. Still, they are not bad. They all look very German, as I had thought that they should. The Ger/BB/1907 drawing has pole masts with the usual German small tops, twin funnels with high casings, a bridge structure built of platforms, on top of a small superstructure with an armored conning tower behind the second gun turret. The secondary armament are in casemates above the hull. This is the Springsharp report:

Overall survivability and seakeeping ability:
Survivability (Non-critical penetrating hits needed to sink ship):
   58,121 lbs / 26,363 Kg = 67.3 x 12.0 " / 305 mm shells or 12.7 torpedoes
Stability (Unstable if below 1.00): 1.15
 Metacentric height 7.0 ft / 2.1 m
 Roll period: 16.7 seconds
 Steadiness - As gun platform (Average = 50 %): 83 %
   - Recoil effect (Restricted arc if above 1.00): 0.37
 Seaboat quality (Average = 1.00): 1.66

Hull form characteristics:
Hull has rise forward of midbreak
 Block coefficient: 0.517
 Length to Beam Ratio: 5.90 : 1
'Natural speed' for length: 24.90 kts
Power going to wave formation at top speed: 45 %
