The coal-fired boiler version of the GB/BB/1905 design

My friend Cliff had conceived of the GB/BB/1905 design as an oil-fueled ship that sacrificed gunpower to achieve a good speed. I have been finding that having coal-fired boilers is more feasible than we had thought, back in 1971. The design has 6-12in/45 BLR and 8-6in QF guns. The latter are in twin turrets, as are the 12in guns. The speed is 24 knots and the armour basis is 13.4in. The deck is a very thick 4.5in. The machinery is 16 SHP/ton, which is not excessively light. This is the Springsharp report:
