The "extreme sports" version of the GB/CB/1905
I thought it would be an amusing exercise to see how much more I might squeeze out of the basis GB/CB/1905 design. This assumes using a destroyer-like plant, but on a large scale, with eight shafts to get the maximum possible power at a very light weight and relatively small size. I raised the freeboard and increased the draft. Those are my usual Springsharp hacks for getting increased performance. This allows the design to make 42 knots. I actually was able to have a range of 6,500nm, as increased range increases seakeeping. This is the Springsharp report:
