A extremely fast ship: GB/CB/1921
I apologize for beating on the large, fast ship topic so hard, but what I have today explores the outer limits of what is possible. I actually suspect that even faster is possible. This is a 42-knot design, with the lightest machinery, that has an 8in armour basis and 6-14in/50, 16-5.5in QF, 6-4.7in AA, and 32-40mm AA guns. The freeboard is quite high and the displacement was reduced. I was pleasantly surprised that the protection and machinery size are as good as they are. This is the Springsharp 3.0b1 Beta report:
