I was able to make a "super destroyer" work in Springsharp 3.0b1 Beta

This is not as "super" as I would like, but the design still qualifies. This is a 35.5 knot ship, armed with 5-5in/50 QF guns and 8-21in TT. I would have liked a higher speed, but this was what was feasible within the parameters that I used:
GB/DL/1941, Great Britain Destroyer Leader laid down 1941

Displacement:
 2,606 t light; 2,708 t standard; 2,982 t normal; 3,201 t full load

Dimensions: Length (overall / waterline) x beam x draught (normal/deep)
 (443.28 ft / 435.00 ft) x 42.00 ft x (14.00 / 14.68 ft)
 (135.11 m / 132.59 m) x 12.80 m x (4.27 / 4.47 m)

Armament:
      5 - 5.50" / 140 mm 50.0 cal guns - 85.00lbs / 38.56kg shells, 150 per gun
Quick firing guns in deck and hoist mounts , 1941 Model
5 x Single mounts on centreline ends, majority forward
  2 raised mounts - superfiring
      2 - 4.00" / 102 mm 45.0 cal guns - 32.00lbs / 14.51kg shells, 150 per gun
Anti-air guns in deck and hoist mount , 1941 Model
1 x Twin mount on centreline, aft deck forward
  1 raised mount
      8 - 1.57" / 40.0 mm 45.0 cal guns - 2.00lbs / 0.91kg shells, 150 per gun
Anti-air guns in deck mounts , 1941 Model
2 x Single mounts on sides, aft deck forward
Weight of broadside 505 lbs / 505 kg
 8 - 21.0" / 533 mm above water torpedoes

Armour:
   - Gun armour: Face (max) Other gunhouse (avg) Barbette/hoist (max)
 Main: 2.00" / 51 mm 1.00" / 25 mm 2.00" / 51 mm

Machinery:
 Oil fired boilers, steam turbines,
 Geared drive, 2 shafts, 66,642 shp / 49,715 Kw = 35.50 kts
 Range 4,800nm at 15.00 kts
Bunker at max displacement = 493 tons

Complement:
 201 - 262

Cost:
 £2.239 million / $8.955 million

Distribution of weights at normal displacement:
 Armament: 149 tons, 5.0 %
 Armour: 43 tons, 1.4 %
    - Belts: 0 tons, 0.0 %
    - Torpedo bulkhead: 0 tons, 0.0 %
    - Armament: 43 tons, 1.4 %
    - Armour Deck: 0 tons, 0.0 %
    - Conning Tower: 0 tons, 0.0 %
 Machinery: 1,552 tons, 52.1 %
 Hull, fittings & equipment: 947 tons, 31.8 %
 Fuel, ammunition & stores: 375 tons, 12.6 %
 Miscellaneous weights: 0 tons, 0.0 %

Overall survivability and seakeeping ability:
Survivability (Non-critical penetrating hits needed to sink ship):
   759 lbs / 344 Kg = 9.1 x 5.5 " / 140 mm shells or 0.4 torpedoes
Stability (Unstable if below 1.00): 1.24
 Metacentric height 2.0 ft / 0.6 m
 Roll period: 12.4 seconds
 Steadiness - As gun platform (Average = 50 %): 61 %
   - Recoil effect (Restricted arc if above 1.00): 0.54
 Seaboat quality (Average = 1.00): 1.23

Hull form characteristics:
Hull has rise forward of midbreak,
a normal bow and a round stern
 Block coefficient (normal/deep): 0.408 / 0.418
 Length to Beam Ratio: 10.36 : 1
'Natural speed' for length: 20.86 kts
Power going to wave formation at top speed: 65 %
 Trim (Max stability = 0, Max steadiness = 100): 50
Bow angle (Positive = bow angles forward): 9.00 degrees
 Stern overhang: 4.00 ft / 1.22 m
Freeboard (% = length of deck as a percentage of waterline length):
    Fore end, Aft end
    - Forecastle: 20.00 %, 27.00 ft / 8.23 m, 24.00 ft / 7.32 m
    - Forward deck: 15.00 %, 24.00 ft / 7.32 m, 24.00 ft / 7.32 m
    - Aft deck: 50.00 %, 16.00 ft / 4.88 m, 16.00 ft / 4.88 m
    - Quarter deck: 15.00 %, 16.00 ft / 4.88 m, 17.00 ft / 5.18 m
    - Average freeboard: 19.12 ft / 5.83 m

Ship space, strength and comments:
 Space - Hull below water (magazines/engines, low = better): 184.4 %
  - Above water (accommodation/working, high = better): 133.4 %
Waterplane Area: 11,300 Square feet or 1,050 Square metres
 Displacement factor (Displacement / loading): 73 %
Structure weight / hull surface area: 41 lbs/sq ft or 200 Kg/sq metre

  - Cross-sectional: 0.46
  - Longitudinal: 1.95
  - Overall: 0.53
Hull space for machinery, storage, compartmentation is cramped
Room for accommodation and workspaces is excellent
Good seaboat, rides out heavy weather easily
