The Ger/CB/1935 design scales nicely for a 16.5in-gunned version
I found that the Ger/CB/1935 design scaled effortlessly to accomodate 16.5in guns. I only had to adjust the armoured length and the result already had adequate strength (at 1.0). The ship now has 9-16.5in guns and still has a 14in armour basis. This is really a fast battleship, but I have designated the family of ships as battlecruisers. Really, the American fast battleships were protected more on a battlecruiser scale, rather than on the scale of the American battleships from 1916 to 1923. The main difference was that the new ships had more deck armour. Anyway, this is the Springsharp report:
