The Ger/CL1914 light cruiser design
I had decided to build some more conventional light cruisers for the Germans in our war game. These look pretty "German", with three funnels and a short forecastle. Three 5in guns are mounted on the centerline, with one at the rear in superfiring position. Two are on the sides at the rear of the forecastle and four more are on the sides. One pair is between the second and third funnels and the last pair is just forward of the rear superstructure. The ships were designed to carry forty mines on rails. They also have 4-21in TT in single, rotating tubes on the sides. This is the Springsharp report:
