A conservative version of the Ger/BB/1905 design

This is a very conservative version of the Ger/BB/1905 design. This was the design that I had intended to lay down in 1905 and 1906. The main deviations are modestly light weight machinery, superfiring turrets, and "all-or-nothing" protection, not dissimilar to the 1870's. The armour basis is 10in. This was the recent photograph of one of the ships:

This is the Springsharp report:

Overall survivability and seakeeping ability:
Survivability (Non-critical penetrating hits needed to sink ship):
   45,370 lbs / 20,580 Kg = 52.5 x 12.0 " / 305 mm shells or 7.6 torpedoes
Stability (Unstable if below 1.00): 1.11
 Metacentric height 5.2 ft / 1.6 m
 Roll period: 16.6 seconds
 Steadiness - As gun platform (Average = 50 %): 91 %
   - Recoil effect (Restricted arc if above 1.00): 0.79
 Seaboat quality (Average = 1.00): 1.82

Hull form characteristics:
Hull has rise forward of midbreak
 Block coefficient: 0.618
 Length to Beam Ratio: 6.44 : 1
'Natural speed' for length: 24.08 kts
Power going to wave formation at top speed: 49 %
