The original concept for the Ger/CB/1905 battlecruiser in Springsharp 3.0b2 Beta

Springsharp 3.0b2 Beta is a great improvement, even over the last beta version. The next design in the "Blue Book" is the original concept for the Ger/CB/1905 design. This is a light battlecruiser with 4-12in/45 and 12-4in QF guns. The armour basis is 4in with 3in+1in decks. The torpedo bulkhead is 2in. The turret faces are 9in and the barbettes, at their thickest point, are 8in. The speed is 31 knots and I have used a range of 7.500nm at 18 knots. This is a photograph of the one ship built, the Blücher:

Overall survivability and seakeeping ability:
Survivability (Non-critical penetrating hits needed to sink ship):
   33,961 lbs / 15,405 Kg = 39.3 x 12.0 " / 305 mm shells or 4.4 torpedoes
Stability (Unstable if below 1.00): 1.35
 Metacentric height 6.1 ft / 1.8 m
 Roll period: 13.6 seconds
 Steadiness - As gun platform (Average = 50 %): 63 %
   - Recoil effect (Restricted arc if above 1.00): 0.29
 Seaboat quality (Average = 1.00): 1.27

Hull form characteristics:
Hull has rise forward of midbreak,
a ram bow and a cruiser stern
 Block coefficient (normal/deep): 0.583 / 0.596
 Length to Beam Ratio: 8.75 : 1
'Natural speed' for length: 26.46 kts
Power going to wave formation at top speed: 54 %
 Trim (Max stability = 0, Max steadiness = 100): 50
Bow angle (Positive = bow angles forward): -2.00 degrees
 Stern overhang: -3.00 ft / -0.91 m
Freeboard (% = length of deck as a percentage of waterline length):
    Fore end, Aft end
    - Forecastle: 30.00 %, 29.00 ft / 8.84 m, 26.00 ft / 7.92 m

Ship space, strength and comments:
 Space - Hull below water (magazines/engines, low = better): 111.6 %
  - Above water (accommodation/working, high = better): 189.1 %
