The GB/CA/1927 design
This generation of the design series is somewhat similar to the American Baltimore class. This design suffers from the overweight machinery used by Springsharp. In reality, the machinery should be lighter in weight for the power produced. I did not want to do that for this complete design series, however. The GB/CA/1927 generation mainly increases the speed to 35 knots, and has a secondary armament of 12-4.7in DP guns. The deck armour is also increased to 3.5in. This is the Springsharp report:
