The very large and extremely fast "light battlecruiser", the GB/CB/1927
This was an attempt to see what could be achieved by reducing armament and protection while keeping the size large. In Springsharp, there seems to be some advantage in big ships over small ships. My GB/CB/1927 can reach a ridiculously fast 41.5 knots. That is approaching the sort of speeds that I had hoped might be achievable back in 1973. This version has 6-12in guns in two triple turrets forward and the usual secondary armament. The belt is 5in and the deck is 3.5in. This is the Springsharp report:
