You thought that my last design was extreme: look at the GB/CB/1923
For the GB/CB/1923 to still make 38 knots, to have 9-16in guns, to still have a 7in belt rather than a 6in belt, and to have a 2in torpedo bulkhead, the length grew to 924ft on the waterline and the Standard displacement to 52,367 tons. The ship requires 6 screws, because of the 75,000 SHP per shaft limitation. The beam is up to 115ft and the draft increased to 34 ft. The freeboard is increased to 32ft. That is required to still have an adequate seakeeping capability. This is the Springsharp report:
