How about a Modernized "Super Queen Victoria" class battleship?
I would choose to design a modernized Super Queen Victoria class ship, as that is my concept and not someone elses. I would go for improved deck armour, anti-torpedo protection, increased beam through bulges of the West Virginia type, and a somewhat higher speed. There should be some benefit to having much ligher weight machinery, after all. I like the twin 4.5in DP mount, so my design has 10 twin mounts, giving 20-4.5in DP guns. I also have a light AA armament. For this to work right, it is apparently necessary to reset the laid down date to the date when the modernization would start, in my case 1939.
