The improvements in the J/CA/1937 design
The J/CA/1937 design has two improvements. They are an increased range to 12,000nm at 15 knots and a change to twin 5in DP guns, instead of twin 4.7in AA guns. The machiney is lighter-weight, so the modest increase in capabilities just adds 300 tons to the normal displacement. This is the Springsharp report:
