The F/BB/1927 design
The F/BB/1927 design has 8-43cm guns (16.9in), 18-5.5in QF guns, 12-90mm AA guns, and 36-47mm AA guns. The armour basis is now 15 in with a 7in deck. The main armament is now in two quadruple turrets, grouped forward. In Springsharp, that is more costly than having one at either end. The maximum speed is still 29 knots, but the range is now 8,500nm at 15 knots. This is the Springsharp report:
