The J/DD/1927 design
The J/DD/1927 design is a great improvement over its smaller predecessors. The armament is now 6-4.7in QF guns, in twin mounts, and 9-24in TT. The speed and range are the same as the 1921 design, 35 knots maximum speed with a 4,500nm range at 15 knots. This ship suffers from the fact that the Springsharp power calculation overstates what a destroyer would need to make particular speed. This is the Springsharp report:
