A fast German armoured cruiser: Ger/CA/1916
The Ger/CA/1916 is practically a battlecruiser. It is 725ft x 80ft x 22.7ft and the displacement ballooned to 23,850 tons from the planned 20,000 tons. The armament is 6-12in/50 BLR and 12-6in QF guns. The armour basis is 6 inches. The speed is a relatively fast 33 knots. The pencil drawing is of a flush-decked ship with two funnels, cased about 2/3's of the way up and with a tripod foremast. I tried to realy the sloped appearance of the hull, but Springsharp thinks it has a raised forecastle, when that is not the case. The look is more German than many of my so-called German ships.
