The Ger/BB/1915 CDV design study had to grow

When I tried calculating the Ger/BB/1915 CDV design study in Springsharp, I found that my original estimate for displacement was too low by a large margin. I had a standard displacment of only 25,000 tons, and the final design had to be 35,000 tons normal displacement. The ship was part of a fascination that we had in the early 1970's with the coast defense and 2nd and 3rd Class battleships from the latter 19th and early 20th century. This one is extreme, as it has 4-18in (180 ton) guns in twin turrets. The secondary armament is 16-4in QF guns in twin mounts. This is the Springsharp report:

Overall survivability and seakeeping ability:
Survivability (Non-critical penetrating hits needed to sink ship):
   70,111 lbs / 31,802 Kg = 24.0 x 18.0 " / 457 mm shells or 13.0 torpedoes
Stability (Unstable if below 1.00): 1.41
 Metacentric height 11.6 ft / 3.5 m
 Roll period: 14.5 seconds
 Steadiness - As gun platform (Average = 50 %): 52 %
   - Recoil effect (Restricted arc if above 1.00): 0.21
 Seaboat quality (Average = 1.00): 1.04

Hull form characteristics:
 Hull has a flush deck
 Block coefficient: 0.639
 Length to Beam Ratio: 5.51 : 1
'Natural speed' for length: 25.50 kts
Power going to wave formation at top speed: 54 %
 Trim (Max stability = 0, Max steadiness = 100): 50
Bow angle (Positive = bow angles forward): 1.00 degrees
 Stern overhang: -2.00 ft / -0.61 m
Freeboard (% = measuring location as a percentage of overall length):
    - Stem: 24.00 ft / 7.32 m
