The 45,000 ton battlecruiser also works well
One of the keys to success for the GB/CB/1915 battlecruiser is that the design is pretty conservative. I used an armour basis of 12in. The main armament is just 8-15in guns. The speed is just 30 knots. The resulting ship is better protected than the Hood, as it uses the "all or nothing" principle. The dimensions are Hood-like, but the hull is flush-decked.
