A German version of the fast armoured cruiser: Ger/CA/1917

There is a pencil sketch that is clearly meant to be a German ship. This is a 729ft x 80ft x 25ft ship that grew to 23,500 tons. The speed that was practical was 35 knots, and this was possible with 6-11in and 8-6in guns with a 6 inch armour basis. A 36 knot speed would have meant an even larger displacement. This is probably a better bargain than a ship such as the Ger/CBL/1915 Mod.A with only 2-12in guns and a 4 inch armour basis, even with a speed of 40 knots. This is the SpringSharp report:
