Seaboat quality (Average = 1.00): 1.66
Hull form characteristics:
Hull has raised forecastle, rise forward of midbreak
Block coefficient: 0.713
Length to Beam Ratio: 9.06 : 1

I was just looking at my alternate design for the GB/CB/1905 battlecruises
I was looking at what I had proposed to my friend Cliff for the GB/CB/1905 battlecruisers. This is a ship that would be more acceptable to Frank Fox and D.K. Brown than what Cliff wanted to have. This ship has 6-12in/45 guns with the same 9-6in/50 QF guns mounted on deck. The armor, in this case, is a 6in belt, 16ft high, a 2.5in deck, and 10in turret faces and 8in barbettes for the 12in guns. I was only able to achieve 29 knots in Springsharp, but that is still not too bad for 1905. When you realize that the Invincibles also had a 6 gun broadside, this looks pretty good, except that the cost would have been unacceptable. The size ballooned all out of proportion, but the resulting ship is a good seaboat and has good stability. I realized that the belt was too short, so that grew to 500 ft long. Springsharp is still complaining, but I am happy, as the light and standard displacement aren't so out of line. Mostly, the range I specified is driving up the normal and maximum displacements.
